Mystery Run Sunday 13th October 2013 |

This day run will require you to meet at 9.30 am at the Caltex Service Station on the Princes Highway at Heathcote just south of the railway station and we will leave for the start of the run at 10am. You will be handed instructions which will take you on a very scenic journey through part of the National Park and along the coast with lovely sea views as you travel towards Wollongong. Continuing on you will ascend three steep passes and descend into two steep gorges as well as travelling through picturesque countryside on quiet sealed roads with little traffic. The run will take you about 2½ hours to a country hotel which has recently been revamped and there will be ample parking for our cars. You can partake in a nice pub lunch at a reasonable price. We have eaten at this establishment previously and found the variety and quality of the food really good. The easy part about this event is that we don’t have to book for our lunch stop and I don’t really need to know beforehand if you intend coming along on the run. However, if you do decide this is for you for a day out in your proper car, please make sure you arrive at the start well before 10am. I am sure the day will provide you with a good drive in your Club car along a variety of roads and scenery and your destination will remain a mystery until your arrive there. Dave Stuart. |
