HARBOUR CRUISE ON S.S. WARATAH

SUNDAY 17TH MARCH 2013

BOOKED OUT

Our Club’s harbour cruise on S.S. Waratah last year was so successful we actually had members on a waiting list to participate on the event. As such, we have again booked this lovely old steamer for another four hour cruise of Sydney harbour and again that old salt Rob Everett will be in command.

Here’s the deal, again the boat can only accommodate 49 passengers, so as with last year it will be first in with their entries to be included on the day. The cost is $36.00 per head and it will be BYO food and drinks affair. You need to be on the wharf prior to 10.30am and this is located at The Heritage Shipyard, Gate 4, James Craig Road, Rozelle. There is a vacant block opposite the entry gate and ample parking is available though I suggest you bring your modern car as there is no security at the car park. We will board the boat at 10.30am, have a briefing with Rob Everett and sail at 11am. Please do not be late as the boat will not wait, if you are running late please advise me by mobile phone. We will return to the wharf at 3pm.

So what to do. If you would like to take in the harbour cruise on the day please ring me and place your name on the entry list and please remember once we have 49 members the entries will close and your name will be placed on a waiting list as was the case last year. We would like you to pre-pay for the day by either EFT directly into the Cub’s account

(listed in our Club magazine) or cheque payable to the V.S.C.C.A. posted to me at 9 Rentoul Street, Glenfield 2167.

The rest is up to you, this event provides a great day out and should not be missed, ring early to secure your place.

Dave Stuart.
